WITH WHICH BIKE CAN I FACE THE SALENTO TRAIL?2023-04-05T19:45:33+02:00

The track is designed to be covered with a Gravel bike. The soils that can be encountered vary from the ruined asphalt of the secondary roads (bounded by the famous dry stone walls) to the light dirt road of the old carters up to the sandy soil of the places close to the marinas. It will be intriguing to test your bike on Salento terrains, sometimes hard when burned by the sun or tame when the water has made them soft and muddy. And if you want to travel the route on a MTB or even on an electric bike, why not. The important thing is pedaling, the rest is just a difference between speed, comfort and pleasure.

ARE THERE ANY STAGES PRE-DEFINED? WHERE DO I SLEEP AND WHERE DO I EAT?2023-04-05T19:46:29+02:00

The Salento Trail is an event defined as a “single stage” in the sense that there are no pre-established stages but each participant stops where he wants to eat and sleep along the way. The advice is to study the route well before leaving, identify the structures that best suit us and organize the trip accordingly.

HOW DO I FIND THE FACILITIES ALONG THE ROUTE TO EAT AND SLEEP? ARE THERE ANY AGREEMENTS?2023-04-05T19:47:19+02:00

We have not agreed upon any structure along the route. We only recommend that you take a look at the most popular search engines to see which ones are best suited to your needs. Booking, Google, Airbnb, Tripadvisor are just some of the search engines that allow you to organize yourself for a stay that suits your needs. The agreements that we would be able to close with the structures would not reach, not even remotely, those that these giants of the sector are able to guarantee you.

I AM REGISTERED BUT I CANNOT PARTICIPATE, IS THERE A REFUND?2023-04-05T19:48:11+02:00

As per the regulation that you must read before enrolling, there is no refund / partial refund, we can evaluate the transfer of enrollment to the following year on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation – If, for reasons of force majeure that do not depend on the organization but on environmental and/or health causes at a national or international level, the event cannot take place, the amount paid at the time of registration will not be refunded but will be considered valid for the next edition. In any case, the organization will have the right, for those who register for the next edition free of charge, to a contribution towards secretarial costs.

Relocation – Furthermore, due to force majeure or other serious reasons, which could jeopardize the preparation of the event or the participation in it by a number of people not less than half of the members, the Organization reserves the right to move the place and/or date of the event within the same calendar year. In this case, the fee paid for registration will be valid for the event on the rescheduled date, with no additional costs for registered participants. In this case it is not possible to transfer the registration to the following year’s edition.
